The SBE Technical Assistance Platform enables SIDS to request specialist assistance from a partnership of UK marine science and management organisations to co-develop the evidence, tools and capacity for climate resilient sustainable use of marine resources.
The Small Island Developing States have committed to promoting ocean-based economies and sustainably managing ocean resources to support sustainable and resilient development. The SIDS are building their capacity and implementing actions so the 65 million people who live on these islands equitably benefit from their marine resources and are protected from climate risks. The UK is committed to partnering with the SIDS to achieve this goal.
